Giorgi Kharamanishvili, the owner of Rustavi2 makes the first comment on the decision of the Supreme Court.

According to Mr. Kharamanishvili , he plans to appeal the decision.
" The whole Georgia was observing the process, which lasted for last two years. The case was politicized. The trial, announced by the government as " a dispute between two entities" has nothing to do with reality. These two entities- us and Mr. Kibar Khalvashi have never had any relations with regard to Rustavi2. When we have become owners of Rustavi2 there were no disputes and no claims in connection with the company . Despite of this absurd, the Georgian court took a decision , which destroyed the freedom of speech in Georgia, as well as rights of ownership and fair trial.

Our rights guaranteed by the Constitution and international conventions have been violated. Therefore we appeal to all the rest of the legal means to protect our rights, we appeal to the Constitutional Court to review our complaints. We appeal to the Strasbourg Court of Human Rights to use the temporary measures before filling the lawsuit and suspend the illegal decision taken by the Supreme Court., "- said Gia Kharamanishvili.
