Media experts and non-governmental organizations assess the Prime Minister"s initiative to create a Media Ombudsman’s institution. They believe that the government is in a deadlock and is trying to find a way out.

" Too many people speak about specific recommendations, many agencies have specific rights for monitoring, but there is no enforcement mechanism. The government is trying to think of something to do in order to avoid so many question marks, " - said the non-governmental organization Transparency International - Georgia"s Executive Director Eka Gigauri.
Zviad Koridze, a Member of the Charter of Journalistic Ethics states that if this institution will be financed by the budget, it will be associated with the government.
