The Chairman of the non-governmental organization " Democratic Initiative" ,Giorgi Mshvenieridze said that if the European Court proves that during the court proceedings on Rustavi 2 case there were serious violations of law, which resulted in violations of the rghts of the broadcasting company Rustavi 2 and the Karamanashvilis, specific people are to be held accountable.

"Naturally, in the first place we have to point to nine judges, who unanimously adopted the decision that created the risk that Georgia would part with the current standard of the freedom of speech and would impede the country`s democratic development," - said Mshvenieradze.

According to him, the Strasbourg Court`s decision has given the government another chance to reconsider its own decision.
