Case of Rustavi 2 was the main topic for discussion at the European Parliament today. Representatives of international non-governmental organizations and European MPs attended the meeting.

Nino Nakashidze, the Deputy Director General of Rustavi 2 informed them about the recent developments regarding to the broadcasting company.

European lawmakers hailed the Strasbourg court"s decision and stated that in a country, which wants to be a member of European family , freedom of media should be guaranteed.
" The Case of Rustavi 2 is a symbol of the fight for freedom of expression for Europeans and of course, they are interested in a detailed information about this case, which indicates that this is not a dispute between two entities,"- said Nino Nakashidze.
