Within the frames of the project "The Constitution belongs to everyone" the President met with ethnic minority students. The meeting was held in the question-and-answer format. The questions mainly dealt with the constitutional amendments, which relate to powers of the president and the election procedure.

Margvelashvili said that in any country the democracy depends on the way the citizens elect their ruler

"25 years ago we established a tradition that we, the citizens are choosing the country`s president. If there is such a tradition and we want to change the tradition and deprive the voters of this and pass the right to someone else, then you have to explain to me well why we should change this rule. Yet we have not heard any argument , "- Margvelashvili said.
