The President of Georgia spoke about the revision of the Constitution. According to the President, the maximum consensus is needed for the fundamental revision of teh Constitution.

he also spoke at his meeting in Kutaisi about his proposal regarding the Constitutional Commission .

"The question towards me is, why I did not I join the Constitutional Commission and why my representatives were not participating in its work. The answer is- because I had a very principled position. I should have been a Co-chair, I, Parliament`s Speaker and Prime Minister. Because I wanted co-chairmanship because I did not want the constitutional commission to be a closed structure, which sends documents to the committee members who do not know what is written in the documents. Unfortunately, recently i am witnessing certain isolation, "- said the President.
