Giorgi Margvelashvili, President of Georgia congratulates Georgian citizens with a Day of Mother Language.

"14 April 1978 is one of the most important dates in our modern history. When the Soviet government decided to deprive national languages of status of the state language. Thousands of people resisted this decision,"- states Giorgi Margvelashvili.
The announcement has been published by the President"s Administration .
