Encouragement of Kakhetian municipal employees prior to Easter - According to public information, the largest amount was paid from the local budget as bonuses to Sakrebulo employees in Gurjaani.

Overall, GEL 88,000 was allocated from the local budget for municipal staff. Gurjaani district governor Gia Gergidze confirms that the Gamgeoba and Sakrebulo employees received 50 percent of the salary as a gift to celebrate the holiday.

Gurjaani opposition thinks it is wrong to pay money for the celebration and tax payers are also dissatisfied with the issue of bonuses.

According to the amount of bonuses, Lagodekhi district is in the second place. 60 thousand GEL was give to municipal staff there. which the Lagodekhi residents are also protesting against.

The bonuses were also issued in the municipalities of other districts of Kakheti region. The total amount of money received by public servants for the Easter exceeded half a million GEL.
