Representatives of the parliamentary opposition and the majority have responded to the visit of the Russian Foreign Minister to the occupied Abkhazia. The majority representatives say that Russia`s actions, even without Lavrov`s visit, always contain danger for Georgia and this visit is not the first occasion. Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia says Sergey Lavrov and other Russian officials were in Sukhumi during the rule of the previous government.

"Even without Lavrov`s visit it is a threat in general to the whole Georgia, of course, Lavrov`s visit is not a novelty. Somehow they want to show that this happens when the new government comes, "- said the member of the faction Georgian Dream Giorgi Volski.

According to the minority, Lavrov`s statements are very alarming and the government`s response should be much tougher.

"The problem is not that Lavrov would be visiting Sukhumi or whether he has visited it . Of Course , he would be going there, it is Russian politics. The problem lies in the government`s reaction," said Nino Kalandadze, a member of the United National Movement .

Member of the parliamentary faction "Movement for Freedom - Regions" , Zurab Chiaberashvili says that the governing team should activate the diplomatic efforts.
