Centennial trees toppled,ripped of roofs and several families remaining in the open air without shelter. Strong winds hit Ozurgeti district most of all. Toppled trees created problems for traffic, some of the district`s internal roads were locked up for almost 3 hours.

The disaster resulted in an accident. The man, who was trying to repair the damaged roof of the house, fell down due to the strong wind. Electricity lines were also damaged, the population had no electricity for several hours.

In Adjara, the Shanidze family in the villageof Charnali of Khelvachauri district was as left homeless due to strong wind. The wind destroyed the wooden house, where the Shainidze family lived with their kids.

Part of Zugdidi was left without electricity.
The damage inflicted by the natural disaster in the country will be counted.
