Judicial reform, constitution, wiretapping law, occupation and Rustavi-2"s case - European Council on Georgia

Rapporteurs will speak about Georgia at the meeting of the Council of Europe"s Monitoring Committee today. The oral report will focus on those issues, which have already been placed on the web page of the PACE : reform of the judiciary, the draft constitution, the law on wiretapping, the situation in the occupied territories and Rustavi-2"s case.

"Politicians should not evaluate the court decisions, they simply must be respected and fulfilled. Absence of media freedom is s absolutely impossible, not only in Georgia, but in any country that wants to be democratic. We are now starting to work on a new report, which of course will take time. We will closely follow developments,"- said Boris Silevich.

He also said that there are other problems in the country, but now they are waiting for several court decisions.
