Another criticism of Eva Gotsiridze, a member of the High Council of Justice, and a written appeal to the Charter of Journalistic Ethics.
A member of the Supreme Council blames the Charter for misinterpreting terms and says they have not asked anyone to be punished.
As Eve Gorichitschts writes, the members of the High Council of Justice were waiting that the Charter would better see the problem. Gotsiridze made a detailed explanation of her own written statement during a telephone conversation with the Courier.
"The Charter has not shared any of our concerns. I think they did not look into the subject of the case and responded very harshly to the High Council of Justice. They had such things in the statement that they perceived as if the journalists were obliged to self-restrain themselves and had the obligation of self-censorship.
"I think that the Charter has misinterpreted these terms and we have not asked anyone to be punished,we have not asked for a criminal responsibility for defamation. We raised the question whether the means of reaction were adequate, ",-
said Eva Gotsiridze.
According to the Charter of Journalistic Ethics, they have already issued an answer to the High Council of Justice and are no longer going to participate in the discussion.
