The Georgian Young Lawyers` Association speaks about the shortcomings in the optimization process of state agencies. The NGO publishes the survey where the data of five ministries are collected.
The study covers the period from 9 December 2016 to 31 January 2017.
According to the survey, 2 300 employees were dismissed from state agencies, out of which 2250 employees are from the Defense Ministry only.
The GYLA says that the process of dismissal of civil servants was not transparent. The employees dismissed from the departments were not given any reasons for their dismissal and beleive that they were dismissed unjustly.
According to GYLA`s lawyers, several ministries have not provided any information about optimization.
"The Ministry did not have clear criteria on how to choose a civil servant to be released on the basis of reorganization. Public servants in some cases say that their political motiv was the reason in their case, in some cases it is unclearfor them why they were released.
