Victory Day over Fascism - War veterans gather in Vake Park

The 72-year tradition - World War II veterans gather in Vake Park to celebrate Victory Day over Fascism.

The Ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia has laid flowers on the on the grave of the unknown soldier. members of government are expected in Vake Park as well.

According to the decision of the government, participants of World War II will receive 600 GEL as one-time social monetary aid, and family members of those killed in World War II will receive 300 GEL.

"Today every embassy marks the end of the war against the Nazis in Georgia. We remember sacrifice of Ukraine and Georgia. This is an important part of history for us,"- said the Ukrainian Ambassador to Georgia.
