"Georgian judicial system, results of reforms and perspectives" - Public Forum is underway in Tbilisi.
The Coalition for the Independent and Transparent Judiciary will present a research on the situation in the judiciary for last year.
NGOs who participated in the research will focus on the gaps in the justice system. They believe that appointment and selection form of judges is the main hurdle in the system.
According to them, the margin of independence of the judges in Georgia is very low .
Live-long appointment of judges is named as the main problem . The civil sector responds to the meeting of the Supreme Council of Justice, where Mikheil Chinchaladze may be named as a permanent judge, while NGOs have many questions to him.
