"We may have had problems with winning" - Zakaria Kutsnashvili speaks about participationof parties` blocs in elections

The general discussion of constitutional amendments was held in Stepantsminda and Mestia in parallel today. Minority was also present at Stepantsminda`s discussions together with the majority.

One of the main issues at the meeting was the limitation of participation for party blocks in elections. According to the proposed version of the constitution, parties are not allowed to unite as blocks.

According to Zakaria Kutsnashvili, a member of the faction of the Georgian Dream faction, they will not have been able to win without blocs.

"Perhaps we would have had problems with winning or would have had relatively lower presentation, but there is a second opinion that having some of the parties in the bloc had both pluses and minuses," said Kutsnashvili.

According to Irma Inashvili, deputy chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia, a member of the faction of the Alliance of Patriots, the blocs are mainly created in this country because the parties are struggling with government pressure.
