The presidential administration assesses the selection by a special governmental commission of 5 candidates for the position of a judge to be sent to the Strasbourg Court .

Ana Dolidze, the parliamentary secretary of the president, says that she can not evaluate certain candidates, however, there are selective criteria to which the European Court of Human Rights pays special attention.

"The Council has quite high quality criteria, regarding the national competition which should be transparent,fair and non-discriminatory. I think it is important to observe the processes that will develope in relation to the National Competition and we and CoE are likely to issue together the conclusion whether this process satisfies these three very important principles, "- said Anna Dolidze.

The president"s administration also spoke about two laws that the president has already signed. According to one, violence against a woman becomes a criminal offense and the other simplifies the adoption of a child .
