Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Georgia, Jan Kelly assessed the case of Azerbaijani journalist Afgan Mukhtar who had disappeared from Tbilisi and later detained in Baku. He says that they are closely following the process.

"There are serious allegations. I am very concerned about these accusations and I think every Georgian is so. Therefore, we are closely watching this case and expect more information from the government. We understand that the Ministry of Internal Affairs studies the circumstances, but the allegations are disturbing. So we need more information. I can not say anything more, "- said Jan Kelly.
