Vice Prime Minister of Georgia Aleksandre Jejelava thinks that the statement issued by the US Department of State regarding the possible kidnapping of the Azeri journalist is mainly addressed to the Azerbaijani authorities.

"We attach great importance to this investigation. Where was this man, where he turned out to be and how it turned out there , this is the main task of the investigation. American and European friends are engaged and the main focus of the State Department is an urge to Azerbaijan to release the detainees and the second component is to conduct the investigation in a timely manner, "- said Alexander Jejelava.

It should be noted that Washington assesses the fact as abduction kidnapping and calls on Georgia for full investigation.
