The wife and lawyer of Azerbaijani journalist, Afgan Mukhtarli,are in the Old Tbilisi police station. Today it will be know whether or not state protection will be given to two main witnesses of the case.

As it is known, the Appeal Court has examined Afgan Mukhtar`s case in Baku and left the journalist in a 3-month pre-trial detention

"A preliminary hearing was held in Baku on a 3-month pre-trial detention, but the Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the previous instance. Now we have been summoned to the police station for security issues, "- said Leila Mustafayeva, wife of Afgan Mukhtarli.

Azeri journalist"s lawyer, Archil Chopikashvili, said that the statements made by the Georgian government officials are unacceptable because they say that Georgian law enforcers did not participate in the possible kidnapping.
