There are questions in the non-governmental sector about appointment of Giorgi Badashvili to be the deputy chief prosecutor . They state that the authorities should make concrete explanations about the movement of staff in the departments.

"There is a legitimate question - a person who has been in the position of the Chief Prosecutor for a number of years and the office failed under his leadership, and on the contrary, there are many questions about many cases or trends, why this personshould be returned back to this agency, especially under this suspicious circumstances "- said Ana Natsvlishvili, chairwoman of the Georgian Young Lawyers` Association.

Eka Gigauri, executive director of the Transparency International Georgia, says that when there is information about the former Chief Prosecutor Otar Partskhaladze`s informal governance, the motives of such personnel changes should be explained.
