The new mosque construction foundation in Batumi is appealing the City Hall decision in the court and requests to annul it. The municipality refused to allow the construction of the mosque on the land plot purchased by the Muslim community.

One of the reasons is the location of the territory, which is a high intensity residential zone. According to the complainant"s assessment, the Batumi City Hall"s arguments are undocumented and illegal.
