The new edition of the constitution is again a reason of conflict between the government branches. Chairman of the Parliament Irakli Kobakhidze does not intend to visit the president`s administration to discuss the amendments planned in the country and is offering TV air to the head of the state, Giorgi Margvelashvili.

The President`s administration did not respond to this issue today. The spokesperson will announce Giorgi Margvelashvili`s position tomorrow. Before the announcement of the President`s new proposals, "Georgian Dream" puts another ultimatum to the country`s first person and offers to hold negotiations only in the parliament.

Experts call this controversy a political duel. Besides this duel, the controversy is among the majority members of the parliament. 25 out of 116 deputies of the Georgian Dream are against the transition from the majoritarian system to the proportional electoral system. Therefore, this change may be delayed till 2024.

According to the experts, this type of confrontation on the draft constitution is the fault of the chairperson of the parliament because he failed to consolidate the forces.
