A resident of village Bakhvi, Avtandil Gognadze, says that he was beaten by the village governor Gocha Sharashenidze.
The teacher says that the physical confrontation occurred after he protested against the construction of a drainage channel along the yard of the house.
"I was beaten by the village Governor," said Avtandil Gognadze.
The village governor categorically denies the accusation and says that Avtandil Gognadze initiated the conflict in order to delay the construction.
Gocha Sharashenidze, a representative of Ozurgeti district in Bakhvi, says that the teacher insulted him verbally.
In connection with the incident the MIA has initiated investigation under Article 126 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies beating and violence.
