Non-Parliamentary Opposition Responds to Prime Minister"s Statement

Leader of the Labor Party Shalva Natelashvili responded to the statement made by the Prime Minister of Georgia on constitutional amendments.

Natelashvili described Kvirikashvili`s assessment as shameful and new constitutional project as illegitimate.

Other non-parliamentary opposition parties are also criticizing the prime minister. According to Nino Goguadze, one of the leaders of Free Democrats, the opposition plans to hold consultations to stop adoption of the constitution.

"We plan to consult with both parties and non-governmental organizations, perhaps with the president"s administration. The only consensus is that this constitution is not good, it does not correspond to the democratic development of the Georgian state, "-
said Nino Goguadze.

Republicans also talk about the need to use all legal leverage to stop the ruling team. According to one of the leaders of the party Tamar Kordzaia, "Georgian Dream" has shown to the public that the government is not interested in public opinion.
