Beka Shengelia, the accused in the so-called Cannibals’ Case is sentenced to life imprisonment, while Irma Kochashvili will spend 20 years in prison. The juvenile, detained for the same case will be imprisoned for 15 years.
The murder committed with the special cruelty , which included signs of cannibalism was committed on October 19 in Tbilisi.

76-year-old Luba Kochiashvili was attacked with electroshock, suffocated and killed with knife.

The defendants have transported the body to Beka Shengelia"s rented apartment where the corpse was cut and then burned. Irma Kochiashvili, who is accused in the brutal crimes, is Luba Kochashvili"s daughter.
