The court is listening right now to Irakli Mamaladze, the main witness of the prosecutor"s office on the so-called cyanide case. The process of the detained archpriest is conducted again behind the closed doors. Before the beginning of the process, the Patriarchate of Georgia has publicized the audio recording of the meeting of family members of Giorgi Mamaladze and the Patriarch.

Jarji Tsiklauri, the deputy head of the investigative department of the Chief Prosecutor`s Office, said that the witness, who was interrogated continued to claim that Giorgi Mamaladze wanted to murder someone with cyanide man.

According to Tsiklauri, six lawyers have delivered speech at today’s trial but none of them was able to explain why the accused had demanded the lethal dose of cyanide.

According to him the detainee had conflict with the patriarch’s secretary Shorena Tetruashvili, did his best to discredit her and finally decided to kill her.

According to lawyer Eka Lomidze, the Prosecutor"s Office tries to get information from the witness, which is beneficial for them.
