The Secretary of the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia, Father Michael Botkoveli spoke about the meeting held between the relatives of Giorgi Mamaladze and the Patriarch. According to him, the Patriarch will have two confidents whom he trusts and if Father Giorgi is willing they can serve as mediators.

"Because of the statements made by him regarding the Patriarchate`s officials, Archbishop Jacob has put an epiphima on him which should be removed by the high priest. This depends on what the outcome will be after the trial. Father Giorgi wants to provide some kind of confidential information to His Holiness that is necessary for the Patriarch to know. Therefore, the patriarch will send his confidents Father David and Father Kakhaber and they will enter the prison and they will serve as mediators, "- said Michael Botkoveli.
