Shota Pakeliani has been demanding the punishment of the officers of Isani-Samgori Police Division for inappropriate treatment for several months but in vain. The concrete evidence have been attached to his allegations today.

Internal surveillance cameras from the police station show that Shota Pakeliani, who was detained on charges of drug crime, was stripped and searched by the police in the presence of other persons in the police room.

Shota Pakeliani says today that the law enforcers were insulting him and he found out only now that his search in the presence of other persons was a violation of the law.
The fact of beating is not deppicted by the cameras as according to pakeliani he was beaten up in the room where surveillance cameras were not installed.
The Prosecutor"s Office has been studying for several months the possibility of abuse of power by the employees of the Isani-Samgori Police Division, but the results are not yet known. The investigation is now waiting for the conclusion of expert examination on the video footage..

Shota Pakeliani"s case is being studied by NGO representatives from the moment of detention. The Public Defender is also demanding the punishment of the offenders.
