A Public Defender believes that the case of kidnapping of Afghan Mukhtarly should be investigated by the Prosecutor"s Office and not Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to him, there are many question marks in regard to this case and it should be studied by the independent agency.

" There are many question marks . One of them is the issue that the Ministry of Internal Affairs continues investigation. I believe that this is a very serious problem. The case should be investigated by another body. In this case by the Prosecutor"s Office, because there were statements about the MIA employees involved in this case. , "Ucha Nanuashvili said.
