The lawmakers should make a decision at the bureau sitting today regarding the establishing an investigative commission on the case of Afgan Mukhtarli. "European Georgia" considered necessary the discussion of the issu. The party claims that "Georgian Dream" is trying to drag the process.

"National Movement" is convinced that despity the difference of opinions in the majority, the case will not be discussed in the legislative body.

"The whole government is actually involved in this process. Naturally,nobody will create this commission, "- said Roman Gotsiridze.

In the case of kidnapping of Azeri journalist Afgan Mukhtarli, there is a difference of opinion regarding the creation of an investigative commission in the parliamentary majority.

Part of the ruling team is supporting the creation of the commission and the other part thinks that the commission only serves to politicize the issue.

"The Parliamentary Investigation Commission serves more to politicize the issue than to find the objective truth. The issue should be very carefully studied and if we do not have convincing arguments that such a commission can really serve as objective and fair, it would be wrong to create the commission, "- said Gedevan Popkhadze
