Ilham Aliyev will occupy the post of Azerbaijani president for the fourth term.

According to preliminary data, Azerbaijan"s current president has gained 86% of the voters. According to the Central Election Commission , this result was received by counting only 65% of ballot papers.

Aliyev"s supporters marked the victory of the candidate in the streets of Baku. The opposition parties did not participate in yesterday"s extraordinary elections. The reason for their boycott was the uncompetitive political and media environment.

Ilham Aliyev will lead Azerbaijan for another 7 years.
