Military operation in Syria - US, France and Britain oppose Syrian regime

The US president informed the American population at 9:00 pm that he had ordered a military operation in Syria. Donald Trump"s decision was the answer to a chemical attack in Syria a few days ago.

The President told the public that the armed forces had been ordered to make precise strikes on those objects related to the chemical weapons of the Assad regime.

Trump said that these strikes were carried out with US allies- France and Britain, and would continue unless the Syrian regime stopped using chemical weapons.

Shortly after the president"s address, London also released a statement.

The UK PM also confirmed that had ordered the armed forces to carry out a coordinated strike on Syria"s chemical weapons targets.

Theresa May said in the statement that this is not an interference in civil war and change of regime. She said that there was no other practical alternative to stop the use of chemical weapons by the Syrian regime.

Soon after the President"s announcement, the aviation and military fleet took part in the attack on Syria"s specific targets. The first target was a scientific research center near Damascus, where chemical and biological weapons technologies were worked out. The second target was the warehouse of chemical weapons, third target was of the same purpose.

By the end of the day it was not known whether the United States would launch the attack on Syrian chemical objects with Britain and France. The administration today explained that they are not going to leave military forces for an uncertain term in Syria.

Another briefing will be held by the Pentagon at Washington DC at 9 am.

The Secretary of Defense said that these days large number of misinformation is expected to be spread and the Pentagon will regularly provide the media with the right information.
