"European Georgia" begins to fight against women"s violence, demanding to tighten the law.

Representatives of the opposition party will introduce the legislative initiative to the non-governmental sector.

The MPs think that for preventing violence it is not enough to issue a restraining order and it is necessary to detain abusers within 48 hours.

"It will simply save people from death and such cases as this tragic case which we witnessed in recent days," - said Irakli Kiknavelidze.
