"European Georgia" demands tightening of law against people accused of domestic violence.

Representatives of the parliamentary minority introduced the legislative initiative to the non-governmental sector.

The MPs think that issuing a restraining order is not enough to prevent violence, and if it is necessary to detain the abuser for 48 hours.

"European Georgia" plans to initiate the bill in the legislative body in the nearest future.

The NGO sector also speaks about the necessity of amendments to the legislation.
