Bidzina Ivanishvili will head the "Georgian Dream" as a chairperson from today.

The former PM will replace Giorgi Kvirikashvili in this position.

The first part of the 5th Congress of the ruling party will be fully closed. The media will attend the only the second part of the ruling party congress, when Bidzina Ivanishvili will be elected as chairman and the new composition of the poltical council will be approved .

The parliamentary majority hopes that the second coming of Ivanishvili will end the confrontation in the team.

"The main task of the congress is to approve the new chairman of the party and renew the composition of the political council. You can say that after the congress the new wave of reforms will begin in the party, "said Archil Talakvadze.

As for the "Georgian Dream" presidential candidate, intensive consultations will start after the congress.
