The Orthodox church was attacked in Grozny. Four armed fighters broke into the territory of the church. Two policemen and one man in the church died during the attack, all four attackers were killed. Their identity has already been established.
Three of them were living in Chechnya. One passer-by and two law enforcers were injured during the two-way shooting.
Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov also visited the scene. According to him, the leader of the group was a resident of the neighboring region, but the Chechen leader did not name a specific place.
