Chief Prosecutor has resigned

Chief Prosecutor of Georgia resigned. Irakli Shotadze"s decision was published on the official page of the Prosecutor"s Office.

"TI am leaving my position today and I"m sure that justice will be fully enforced," the statement says.

The Chief Prosecutor has made a decision to resign as a result of the demonstration in front of the Prosecutor"s Office.
The demonstration is underway since the Court announced today a verdict on the murder on teenagers on Khorava street.

Several members of the parliamentary majority called on the chief prosecutor to resign as well.
