Bidzina Ivanishvili, the former Prime Minister of Georgia and the chairman of "Georgian Dream" responds to the events linked to the murder case on Khorava Street. Ivanishvili"s statement was published a few minutes ago.

He notes that the resignation of Irakli Shotadze, the chief prosecutor, is a new standard. Bidzina Ivanishvili expresses his condolences to the family members of the murdered teenagers.

"I used to believe and I still believe that Irakli and his office were doing their best to make sure that all the criminals were adequately responsible in front of the law. Unfortunately, due to the recent developments tthe credibility of the investigation has been questioned by some of the victims and the society, which was instantly followed by the chief prosecutor"s strong political and moral step. Shotadze"s resignation is a completely new standard, establishment of which was the aim of the people"s revolution commited under Georgian Dream"s leadership in 2012. I would like to express my condolences to the families of the victims and to express my hope that justice prevails ! "- said Ivanishvili.
