Th ePatriarchate welcomes the government"s decision to return the case to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Patriarchate responded to the rally held in front of the parliament and says that they can not support unprecedented processes, especially when the government took certain steps.

"The church unites and naturally we call for peace. We can not support the development of unmanageable processes, but the authorities should take into account the reality that people need more support in solving social problems and, first of all, they need the fair and effective justice system and not only in the case of Saralidze.

It is important to take effective measures in this direction in order to remove the feeling of inadequacy and injustice in society has come to an end.

If the authorities show a clear political will, we think that effective investigation of Davit Saralidze and Levan Dadunashvili"s case can become one of the most important phases of this process, "the Patriarch"s statement reads.
