Two days before the adoption of the resolution of the European Parliament, the UN General Assembly approved the document related to Georgia. The resolution calls on the Secretary-General of the United Nations to report on the status of the IDPs living in Georgia and the implementation of the resolution. The document also speaks about the serious situation in the occupied territories of Georgia concerning human rights. The resolution calls on the participants of the Geneva talks to activate efforts to improve the situation in the occupied regions of Georgia in terms of security and human rights.
