The President of Georgia responds to Giorgi Kvirikashvili"s resignation. Giorgi Margvelashvili says that the masquerade should end in Georgia when successful PMs are dismissed from the office and the new prime ministers are chosen by the incomprehensible principle.

"Questions emerged regarding the political process that developed yesterday when the Prime Minister of Georgia resigned from his position.

I have worked with four senior officials in my experience, Mr. Gharibashvili, Kvirikashvili, Usupashvili, Kobakhidze, I can say that Kvirikashvili was the most comfortable worker. With a clear vision of what he was doing and what direction the country should developed.

The public has a question why Kvirikashvili has left ?
I cannot say Mr. Kvirikashvili"s activity in economic field and the well-being of the population was unsuccessful, "said the President of Georgia.

According to Giorgi Margvelashvili, he talked about economic problems in Parliament, but his statements were totally unacceptable. According to the President, only UNICEF research made clear some of the problems.

The President called on the ruling party to name the leader of the party as a Prime Minister. He said Bidzina Ivanishvili was a good Prime Minister.

"I call on political forces in Georgia, including the ruling party, to take responsibility before the society and name the leader of the [ruling] party as a Prime Minister,” Giorgi Margvelashvili said.

The President noted that he has worked with Ivanishvili when he held the Prime Minister’s post “and with my experience, I can say that he was a good Prime Minister.”

“The masquerade as if people are appointed and the real decision maker is a party and it does not reflect in real life, in my opinion, harms Georgia, its European choice and stability, "Margvelashvili said.
