Holding early parliamentary elections is unacceptable for the majority of the ruling party. According to the chairman of the legislative body, in the case of early elections, the opposition will have lesser representation in the parliament and it will also postpone introductionm of the proportional electoral system.

"It will not be right for the country to hold the early parliamentary elections at this stage, including from the point of view that the opposition representation in Parliament will be decreased , if the parliamentary elections could be held today, the opposition"s representation would be even smaller, I say without any sarcasm and irony. In case Parliamentary elections are held today, proportional electoral system will be postponed for another 2 years, which would be wrong , "- said Irakli Kobakhidze.
