Another hostile step taken by Russia against Georgia - the opposition assesses the fact of kidnapping of Georgian border guards.

In parallel, MPs indicate the responsibility of the Georgian authorities and relevant agencies.

"It is a unfriendly and hostile step towards Georgia. On the other hand, this is a serious problem for Georgian state institutions, as well as the Border Guard Department, as well as the State Security Service, "-said Irakli Abesadze, a member of the European Georgia.

According to UNM member Tina Bokuchava, the government is not trying to confront the occupant. According to the opposition MP, the Georgian government is spending more resources on internal problems than the issue of de-occupation of the international community agenda.

In the ruling team the focus is on protecting of the rights of detained border guards. According to the leaders of the parliamentary majority, the government uses all the levers available to free the border guards.
