Giorgi Margvelashvili demands a one-week period for the final decision regarding his nomination as the presidential candidate. Two ex-teammates of Bidzina Ivanishvili, Davit Usupashvili and Giorgi Margvelashvili start consultations on the upcoming presidential elections.

The first negotiations were held yesterday at the presidential palace.

Davit Usupashvili speaks about the meeting and says he is optimistic.

According to Davit Usupashvili, he is ready to be a presidential candidate. However, Usupashvili said that if Giorgi Margvelashvili joins his political activities, he does not rule out that the presidential candidate will be revised.

"After this conversation I am moderately optimistic that we will be able to create such team in political life that Georgia needs. However, George needs some more time, "Usupashvili said.

Davit Usupashvili offered Giorgi Margvelashvili to meet publicly a few days ago and did not hide the purpose of the meeting . He says he wants to outline new political power in the run up for the 2018 elections.
