Vacant position of Supreme Court Chairperson - consultations in president"s administration continue

Consultations in the president`s administration regarding the selection of the Supreme Court chairperson are still underway. The national platform was also involved in the selection process. The president"s advisers are meeting with members of the platform for just one hour. The main theme is still criteria.

At today"s meeting there will be no talks about specific candidates. The people at the meeting express their opinions regarding the criteria according to which the president should choose the candidate for the future chair of the Supreme Court.

As for the ruling team, majority representatives do not take part in consultations.

Pikria Chikhradze, the advisor to the President of Georgia, said that the president"s administration wanted to GD to take part in consultations and hoped that the Georgian Dream would change the decision at the next stage.
