A Chairman of the Georgian Parliament speaks about the importance of Angela Merkel"s visit to Georgia. Irakli Kobakhidze does not agree with the opposition"s assessments that the issue of Georgian-Russian relations is no longer relevant because of the inactivity of the government.

According to the opponents of the government, a fact that only the issue of Ukraine has discussed at the meeting of Merkel and Putin and they have avoided the issue of Georgia"s occupation speaks about it. Kobakhidze believes that Germany remains a firm partner of Georgia.

"Germany is one of the main supporters of Georgia and a fact that in the upcoming days Angela Merkel visits Georgia confirms it. We will discuss deepening of relations between Georgia and Germany. Our connection with Germany is strong and their support is firm, "said the Chairman of the Parliament.
