The Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued a special order to ensure that the presidential elections will be held in a free, democratic and secure environment.
According to the MIA, the relevant structural units operating in the territorial units will provide a timely response violation during the pre-election campaign and on the election day.
The statement released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs states that the order obliges police to strictly adhere to the principle of political neutrality while performing official duties.
Presidential elections will be held on October 28, 2018, by the President of Georgia.
