The draft law on cultivation/ export of marijuana has been officially withdrawn from the Parliament.

Today, the MPs will discuss in the third hearing the project prepared by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the marijuana usage regulations in the Legal Committee.

Restriction refers to those who will offer marijuana consumption to persons not having reached 21 years. It will also be punished for all those who drive under the influence of marijuana.

"Consumption of drugs will be prohibited in public spaces. The sanctions for public officials will be even stricter.

It is also prohibited to drive under the influence of drugs, "- said Eka Beselia, chairperson of the parliamentary committee for legal issues.

The opposition opposes regulations. They do not intend to support the draft law.

"I will not support it, it is absolutely incomprehensible, inconsistent policy, first they file one draft law, then the second one in the pre-election period.

In some time we suspect that the first one will be back and it will probably take place after the elections, "said the MP of the National Movement Roman Gotsiridze.
