The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has launched an investigation into four facts.

The investigation has begun on four facts of alleged crime in Tbilisi, Mtskheta and Batumi.

The statement was made by Deputy Interior Minister Nino Javakhadze.

 "At this stage, according to our information, elections are held in a peaceful environment throughout Georgia. The police have started an investigation on four facts of the alleged violation. The investigation was launched on the fact of physical assault on TV journalist at one of the polling stations in Tbilisi. The fact of physical confrontation in one of the polling stations in Mtskheta and the fact of physical confrontation in one of the polling stations in Batumi, "said Javakhadze.
